Work Hard, Play Harder

This is the second night we berkampung at this computer lab. Thesis has forced us to do this. Staying late at night wondering if handphone radiation can effects our brain signal. Well, so far, all I can said is, it does not effect our brain. I also found out that during the exposure, the power spectrum density increased then would decreased back when the phone was off. Hmmm.... no explaination yet right now. Will update on that later.

Although we worked hard (ye ke Teng?) but we also play hard (or should I sau, harder?). After this, we are going to see the battle of bands in Festival Seni. Tomorrow night? 12th RC dinner. Next night? AKIUM dinner. Sunday night? Dinner with Korean students. Got the message? Huhu...

To Those Who Care

I managed to get 3 headaches today. This is due to my current stress that has exceed the normal value. This is way higher than usual. The reason is simply that my thumbdrive and laptop is infected by virus. Stupid virus. Double triple stupid virus. Virus from Indon plak tu. How I know? He even send a text file titled Baca Bro. Kepala hotak kau la bro.

The worst part is my assignment is inside the thumbdrive. This is what happen when you used computer at computer lab. Some people who stupid enough to open a email that contains viros and spread that to the pcs. Now I left hanging without source and everything la I need to finish up my works that berlambak-lambak menyemak dalam otak. Who said you free final year. TIIIPPPPUUUUUU............

Now my thumbdrive and laptop is at Zainal for repairing. I don't if it's going to be okay or not. I'm not worry about the laptop but my thumbdrive, I have everything inside that. I felt bad for Zainal coz he has to do extra job even though he has a lot of assignments to be finished. But he's the only person that actually can help me. Nak suruh abang? Kena marah ada lah. Siap kena ungkit berbulan2 lg. To think back, I always has problem with my pc and Zainal has to help. If I don't have him, I don't la what to do. (He's the only want who doesn't ungkit after few months even though I might kena marah. So I don't mind sangat la).

Latest news said that my laptop getting worse. Thumbrive might need to be formatted. Damn it. My work............... I need miracle right now. Sheesh, my head is getting worse. Need to sleep.

Wish I don't have to wake up.
Wish that when I wake up, everything is alright.
Wish that when I wake up, all the virus stuff is just a bad dream.
Wish that when I wake up, I left UM for good.
Wish I don't have to wake up.
Wishing....wishing......wishing.....

To all those that I've hurted, I'm sorry....
To those who has helped, thank you....
To those who has been in my heart, you'll be forever there...

Smile... He never fail to smile at me. He reminds me the goodness that still there in this world.

Random Thinking

Can you have the goodness of something but ignore the responsibility that come with it? Wish I can do that.

Have been thinking about marriage lately. I know it's quite early to think about it but since my mom had mentioned it that day, I just can't ignore it. At my age it's imminent, it's not too early nor just nice nor too late. It's going to happen in few years from now (according to my calculation la).

But feeling very lovesick lately and thinking of marrying my sweetheart right now. Can I get married but ignore the responsibility that come with it. Everybody knows (at least my family la) that I'm NOT qualified at all to get married. Naqib said it last week, "Kalau kakak tak nak disaster, jangan kawin sekarang." Damn it. Even Zainal said that my life still huru-hara.

I just want to be with my love one. Is that wrong. Just want to be together without collecting more sin when out dating. (Tipu la kalau tak buat dosa kan. Keluar berdua-dua pun dah mengundang syaitan kan).

Society today always pressure that marriage is something expensive. Must have at least 10K for hantaran + mas kawin. Not mentioning the reception. Can I ran away to Vegas to get married? Hahahhaa... Nak gi vegas pun tak de duit... Eh, kat M'sia orang pergi Siam la... Lupa lak...

Ok, it's getting ridiculous now. Might as well continue doing my work than thinking about this stuff.

To Zainal: It was one of the days that I know you'll understand. Hehe.

Tuesday Evening Prank

It was supposed to be another boring lecture this evening. The monotonous tone and one-point-5-minutes explaination is not the best way to keep us wake up the whole evening. But somehow, somebody came up with a prank which actually working coz the whole final year student was desperate to find a job.

The advantage of that prank that earlier today, a lecturer has annouced that who interested to get a job at KUKUM has to give their name to him. So as a good samatarian (btul ke perkataan ni?) a girl passed around a piece of paper and asked those who interested to write their name and passed back to her so that she can gave to the lecturer.

So this unknown person, took this oppurtunity to pass around a paper which was written, ' Abbott Medical Sdn. Bhd. open vacancies for service & maintanance engineer at King's Hospital, New Zealand. Interested please write your name. 20 vacancies. Minimum CGPA 2.5'. to make the matter worse, there's a phase which said, sponsored by JPA.

Being excited about going to New Zealand, 1/3 of class managed to write their name before somebody pointed out the inconsequential stuff that can found on that a piece of paper. Why would JPA sponsored 20 people to work in New Zealand under Abbott Medical? Then we looked carefully again, we found out that the first four names weren't even exist. Not to mention that all four names were written by the same people (according to the handwriting and pen). We immediately erased our names and being cheeky too, we passed the paper the front and around the class.

So the beginning of interesting class was began. We watched as people tried to believe the paper and actually took some time to think whether to go or not. Some of them realized that it was a fake and passed it on. At the end, at least 10 names were on that paper. Laughing hystrically, we read the names who thought that was real. Then we passed back to the mastermind (until now we didn't know who started it. Some said the other poeple and some said different person).

In the midst of that funny event, some people actually took it seriously and accused me and Yon of being the mastermind. I was quite irritated with that accusation (which was said with serius face and cynical) coz I never thought people would take that so seriously ( I dunno lah if she really wante dto go, and felt angry when she know that was not true). It's not that she 's the only one who fell for that, me myself also fell for that prank. But I took it easily and laughed it off.

Tick Tick Tick

"And, I find myself trying to stay by the phone,
'Cause your voice always helps me to not feel so alone,
But I feel like an idiot, workin' my day around the call,
But when I pick up I don't have much to say...."
-Where'd You Go? by Fort Minor

When you are waiting for something, one minutes felt like one hour. Especially when the time you wait is almost there, it become slower and you feel that one seconds is equal to 1 hour. Then you get the message to delay one hour or more, you feel like throwing the phone away. After that waiting since this evening, one hour mean a lot you know.

Before you know it, you end up doing stupid things. Such as writing 2 posts in one night. Like changing my Media Player list from all those soppy love songs to The Killers. (The Killers is my therapy). Like staring at the ceiling for 5 minutes. Like stopping doing my assignment which need to pass up tomorrow and start pressing remote control randomly hoping time will move faster too. Like planning murder to those who make me wait. Or just crying patheticly.

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH..... It's feel like deja vu....

Love in the Eyes of an Observer

Love indeed is a funny thing. For a moment you love someone else's, the next thing you know your love go international.

Love can be very dangerous thing. For a moment you in war with someone else because of your love, the next thing you know, you might get drunk with soju.

Love can be very musical. For a moment you sang Backstreet Boys, the next thing you know you're humming to Winter Sonata's theme song.

Love come in all sizes. For a moment you went for small package, the next thing you know, you have to choose between very big, too big or double big.

Love is very sweet. For a moment you long for sweet words, the next thing you know, you're eating Ferrero Rocher.

Whatever love is, we always seek for it coz love give us the meaning to wake up everyday and sleep every night.

How Long is Good Enough?

I had another interview this afternoon. Not a very successful one I can bravely said. It's even can be described as a disaster. Haha. Not that I'm sad, but kinda frustrated actually. Frustrated that I took all the trouble to come yesterday to take my certificates and interview clothes, transfer all my transfer my certificates to my new file (60 pockets!!) and waited almost 2 hours for the interview. But all I get was 3 minutes of his time. Hehe.

While waiting for my turn, we discussed how successful one's interview based on how long we are in that room. So the longer you are being interviewed, the more chances that you will get that position. Funny ah. Like some people, their interview was streched to almost 30-45 minutes. Some only 10-15 minutes. So being 3 minutes is like no hope at all.

Next time before interview, no more laughing around, kutuking the interviewer and learning how to tie a tie before interview. Serious next time, ok.

Bunian Laut - The Rebirth

It was late evening when the news of bunian laut's death came to her. She stared to the space for awhile and resumed back to the daily chores.

One month has passed since the tragedy. No memorial has been built nor any action been taken. The bottle where bunian laut has hatched and grew still at the original place. Nothing ever removed, not even the water. It's too hard to do that. It's just too nerve-racking. She never sat at that table again. She was too busy, using the laptop or just doing nothing. She never likes study at that table anyway. It's too depressing. Memory of bunian laut swimming happily is just too hard to erase.

One fateful night, which fell on last night, she was forced to study at that table. She has test tommorrow and the only way to focus is to study at that table. She was diligently studying at that table when suddenly the words become blurry. Nothing seem logical anymore. The words suddenly become too hard to understand and remember.

She stared at the bunian laut's bottle. She blaimed herself for being procrastinator. Something must be done to that bottle. The least can she do is to throw the water and wash the bottle. At least no other insects take the opportunity to live there.

Suddenly she saw something. Something that moved. Something that swam. That something was bunian laut!! Oh, my God.... The bunian laut is still alive. Alive, big and expecting. Suprisingly, there are more. There's even the small bunian laut which I assumed is the second generation. They are all swimming happily inside that bottle. One or two of them which I assumed the elders one are quite big. Waaaaahhhhh...... gembiranye... siap ade kaki lagi bunian laut. Dah jadik udang yang sempurna.

Their godmother was happy too seeing this good news. She even want to put sand into the bottle to make it nicer.

Conclusion: Who said procrastinating is bad? If I had have wash the bottle earlier, I might have kill all the bunian laut.

It's a Wrap!!!

Like what the people in MTV said after finished shooting a video clip, I can concluded that my thesis experiment can also be wrapped. Hehe. Now, the analysis and statistics part is on the way.

I would like to dedicate this post to all people to has help and contributed to the success of my thesis experiment. (Post ni blh jadik acknowledgement thesis report plak).

First of all, my partner, Leen, who together we faced the stress and hardship doing the experiments. Next, to all our subjects - Zainal (sy tak berniat nak menyeksa awk), Awi (selalu jadik mangsa subject EEG, even for lab), Napi (even though your data is not going to use), Liya (our almost subject), Imah (bidan terjun), Me (hehe), Leen (now we know what people feel kan) and Yon (bidan terjun lg).

Not forgetting to Mr Ng Siew Cheok who let us used the EEG machine even though Dr Rina had bought one for us to use. (Kena marah, blackmailed and gelak dr dier, kitorg buat pekak je la). Also to Iffa for lending us her handphone. Naqib also, even though your phone was rejected after that. And Megat, who taking picture of me injecting Awi's head and post it on our class Circles and reduced our volunteer to none (thanks!!).

To those I don't remember, thank you too...

When The Body Speaks...

15:35--> My head started the drilling session. The brain hated drilling session which mean no work will be done as it is uncomfortable. Meanwhile, the body said, "Why don't we just go back to college and has a nice short nap?" Body likes to take opportunity like this and persuade brain to follow her suggestion. Brain thought for awhile and tries to find something that can counterback body's suggestion but no avail. "Hold on for awhile, will ya. " Body gave a frown. Brain ignored.

14:50--> The hand opened the door and the eyes was shocked to see all the Korean students inside the room. They asks us to be quiet. "Ok, we'll be quiet coz we just want to use the EEG machine." Legs walked to the room but stopped halfway when she saw Siew Cheok. Not very pretty sight especially when he's not smiling. Mouth asked Mok, "Siew Cheok tengah buat experiment ke?" Mok nodded. Damn. Miss another day again.

13:30--> Stomach was dissappointed. The Kyrgyzstan stall was closed today. Damn it. Should bought yesterday. Meanwhile heart was worried. Is dragonfruit considered 'cold' fruit? Coz the lung is still not 100% healthy and the nose is still blocked. But at the same time heart is happy coz Johnny or the real name Choi JungHyean bought the drinks for 4 of us. Legs walk to the KPS cafe to chill with the 2 Korean boys. Mouth was laughing happily with the jokes and smile widely for the camera.

12:00--> Stomach played unknown musical notes. "What the hell is that?" asked ears. "I'm hungry la stoopid. Need food. Want that Kyrgyzstan food that Liya bought yesterday," stomach answered angrily. Ears was irritated by stomach answer, "Give us nicer music next time, will ya."

Grrrrrrrllllllllllllll.........The drilling session is getting louder and more painful. Brain can't handle it anymore. The hands asked to stop typing write now. The body won't tolerate anymore. The mind is imaging the bed already. Till then, every cell in my body said, "Bye-bye. We need to take a nap for awhile right now. Thanks for reading....."

When The Body Won't Cooperate

Funny how by biting your lip, you can lost 1 kg. This is not a myth and you don't have to send to Mythbuster to proof it. I bited my lip last Sunday while merepeking excitedly with Naqib (now I know why we shouldn't talk when the mouth is full). I bited twice at the same place and it was painful but as always it would go away in few days. But this time, it's different. Last 2 days, it got very painful and until now it won't go away. I tried every medicine I can find in the house (coz nak beli hari tu tp takde duit la plak) but no avail (no Leen, I won't try the salt thing. Too scary by Iffa's and your description). 2 days already I hasn't had any mood to eat. And as the result... tadaa... I lost 1 kg. Haha. Not something I can be proud of coz my lip hurts even to drink water.

Since I refused to eat, my body started to react unhealthily. I started to get sore throat (lack of water), my lips cracked coz of dryness (again, lack of water), easily get headache (lack of water and food) and runny nose (I can't find any connection to the lip but I guess the nose wants to join the party). In short, I'm half sick (not fully sick, in my defination la).

Well, hope I get well soon. Need to coz works are piling up. Wish me to get well soon kay... I really need it.

Monday, February 27, 2006

I must confess that I'm a boring person. People rather be with somebody else who is more interesting and exciting than me. It's kinda of sad to think that way isn't it. But this is I always feel. It's like people wish that I didn't be where I should be so that they don't feel bad if they are not there to accompany me. They feel more fun and interesting with other people even though they have to sacrifice something theirs.

It's something I noticed today when one of them spontaneously exclaimed dissapoinment when I said that I going back to where I suppose to be. Am I that boring? I know I'm a reserved person especially to those who I don't know well. I don't really know how to show my affection and emotion easily. I was trained that way and I find it very suitable to my growing environment. Without I noticed, my attitude become rigid and people find me quite serious and hard to be close with. I understand that.

Am I really wanted to be here? or am I just disturbing an interesting and exciting relationship?
Am I really like by my friends? or they just being polite?

Wish Febuary is Longer

Have you ever felt that 24 hours is not enough and 28 days in Febuary is too short? Well, this is the time that I felt that way. So many things to do, yet so little time. But there's still time to go dating, shopping, sleeping (at unnecessary hours) and blogging (also read other blogs). At this moment all I want to do is forget everything and take a long vacation (something that I shouldn't be doing la if I want to graduate this semester). But you can't help it coming out with that dream.

Let me start listing my unfinished jobs:
  1. Lab reports. Haven't done any lab report (to be fair to myself, I almost finished with 1 report). Next week have to pass up the MATLAB lab report plus Q&A session (for God's sake, it just 1/10 of 1 credit hours. Why he must make us suffer every semester. Is that how he shows his love and care. Well, apparently it doesn't work.)
  2. Prosthetics and Orthotics assignment that need to review at least 3 hospitals. We thought UMMC is enough. God, do we have anytime to go anywhere right now?
  3. Another 6 thesis experiments that need to be done. Plus analysis & statistics & full report.
  4. AI programme that need to be developed (my plan was to learn VB 6 tonight, but look where I end up?). Well, we already came up with some smart solution for this assignment but of course I won't state here in case the words spread to my lecturer. huhu.
  5. Proposal for hospital networking. Actually we wanted to ask the lecturer to change this assignment to something simpler (or at least something that doesn't involve communicating with other parties) but I don't know what happen to that plan. Normal la tu, bila tengah berkobar-kobar tu kalau boleh nak jumpa lecturer masa tu jugak, nasib baik la dia cuti. Then, all quiet as if no plan was made. I won't blame them totally, I was one of the most berkobar-kobar there (siap dah tanya pendapat semua org ni. Hehe).
  6. Then there's a UNITEN dinner next friday which I haven't have anything to wear. I know what I want and my mom willing to make it for me but she's so busy travelling around and only come back next week. Sempat ke? Measuring tape pun baru beli semalam. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa........

Worst of all, I don't know which one that I should do first. You know when there's so many things to do, you end up doing nothing and watch Torino Winter Olympics. =)

Note to myself: Maybe I should print out this post la to remind me what I need to do. Ni to-do list pun takde.

New Addition to the Family

Last sunday, a new girl was added to our family. My second niece was born at 12:39 pm with the weight of 3.3 kg (smaller than her sister. Thank God, said Kak Yan). At this moment she hasn't has any name coz she has to wait for her abah to come back from San Paolo, Brazil next week. Such a cute little baby and she looked so fragile and vulnerable that I'm scared to hold her (I have no talent with kids).

Tomorrow she'll be coming to our home coz now she's in her opah home. Can't wait to try carrying and holding her. Poor her abah. He has to go to San Paolo last Saturday and the next morning (Sunday morning/afternoon la) she was born. She purposely want her abag to go first then only come out, eh. Naughty naughty girl. Hopefully your sister didn't bully you like your cik ngah bullied your ayah su. Hehe.

Anybody Found My Thumbdrive?

Seriously I really want this night to end soon. I discovered I left my thumbdrive in computer lab and I don't know if it's going to be there tomorrow. And all my assignment that I supposed to pass up tomorrow is in there including all my latest thesis experiment result that I supposed to analyse tonight. The night getting worse by people around me who being sarcastic and annoying.

By the way, somebody asked me to put these. Even these stuff can get u irritated when it's suppose to be funny. What a night.

Never Too Late for LOVE

I know valentine's was over but love is something that can be talk about all year round isn't it. (I wanted to write earlier but my energy was drained out for 2 days PTD exam). There's debate about Muslim shouldn't celebrate valentine and some said it's all in niat. I'm not going to talk about it coz I know my knowledge is not that deep. I just want to talk about it's good to know that you're loved.

Once in awhile when your loved one said how much he loves you and appreciate you, it felt good. Really really good. The feeling that you are loved by other people beside your family is like knowing that you are accepted in society. Despite all your flaws and eccentricity, there is somebody accept and love you as you are. (This is excluding your family ok, coz they will love you no matter what unless you make them mad at you. I meant, really really mad at you).

This is not insecurity or low self esteem, but in life, in every one of us, there's a little tiny feeling that need to be acknowledge by others. You might said that you don't give a damn about what people think of you, but I bet sometimes you wish people acknowledge and accept you as you are. You might said I have my best friends and all I need is them. Best friends know you in and out. They might be there for you rain or shine. But do you really want to spend your life with them? Grow old with them? Have sex with them? (unless you are a gay and lesbian, then that's a different story la). Have children with them? Certainly not isn't it. So that's why you need the opposite sex.

Someone who complete you, someone who compliment your life. Someone to cuddle you when you're cold, someone for you to manja with when you're sick (or pretend to be), someone you can tell all you're stupid and not-so-funny jokes but still laugh at it. Someone who can be your driver, mechanic, computer technician and chef without being paid. Someone who let you win everytime you play games with him, someone who purposely sick so that you visit him. That's why we need that person. And we need love.

I still smell the love in the air. Still over the moon and still reading that card before sleeping like love-struck teenage girl. It's good to feel that way even though it looks crazy. Haha.

(Hope nobody gets diabetes by reading this. Pardon me for all this mushy feeling.)

One Confused Night

Apparently it's turn out to be quite a night. A night filled with cold, headache, loneliness, depression, guilt, appreciation, love test, deceit, friendship and trust. (No, no, it's not a movie. It's my life). Can't believe I shredded so much tears and at the end of the night, I realized it was all wasted.

Last night showed that how much it can hurt by just saying no to sick girlfriend.

Last night showed that how much you willing to do to your friend. Either you help him/her solving his/her problem with bad way or listening at wee hour.

Last night showed how useful FriendFinder is and how it actually can make or break a relationship. How it can actually give you wrong conclusion (or is it just a lie?).

Last night also showed that never buy nasi goreng ladna at 12th coz it sucks.

Puteri Gunung Ledang - The Musical

First of all, no words can describe the joy and excitement of watching PGL The Musical last night at Istana Budaya. It worth every cent of the ticket. It was amazing and fantastic. Love the songs, love the dance (but some of it was not so synchronised), love the music, love the customes, and love the crowd I'm with. Conclusion, I'm lovin' it. So I put pictures of my favourite part here.
Suraya, if you're here, you will love this musical.

This the only time you can see Sultan Melaka danced to the 70s groove. Yeah, baby, yeah!

The lover separation's scene. So moving and touching. (But the Hang Tuah was lack of machoness and Malayness - to me la.)

All the actors and actress at the end. They looked very happy though, so were the audiences.
